Baseline Data Collection for a Sample of Coastal Cities” on 20 – 22 July 2022 in Mombasa, Kenya – The aim of the workshop is to contribute towards the ongoing efforts on having adequate city level data for the SDG 11 indicators to ensure proper monitoring and reporting of the SDG by cities. The workshop will bring together National Statistical Offices, city officials and officials from relevant bodies at national and local levels and academia to discuss on the importance of aligning city data to the SDGs, introduce the Global Urban Monitoring framework and its application to cities and present on the importance of Voluntary Local Reviews in monitoring and reporting of the urban SDGs.
